Veterinary Practice
Our client wanted the largest 24/7 veterinary practice north of Sacramento but still wanted the customer experience to be small and personal. The facility is required to be durable and cleanable. Many parts of the facility have to be washed out with a hose. Detailed waterproofing systems were incoperated in the interior at these locations. Being a large emergency hospital, the building needs to be secured and safe for the “middle-of-the-night” visitors and yet still be comfortable and welcoming. In off hours, the building is staffed down and does not see very many clients. Since the facility is large we had to design the building to operate as smaller facility and not look like a ghost town. The facility also had to take in to consideration animal safety. Larger dogs have been known to push their way through doors and escape outside in certain facilities. We compartmentalized the hospital so a technician can catch up to the dog before it gets too far away from them. Apparently animals don’t always like to go to the doctor either.
