We did not think we were going to be the principal designer on this project. We were just going to advise and consult. In Feb. 2012, Stan Cooper told us it was all ours- start! (and, by the way, we were 3 months late already.)

This project literally represents EVERY project type we have ever done and more. It still has a chance at achieving LEED Platinum 2014 was the wettest year in recorded history in North Carolina. Don, Matt and select staff had over a year on site in Mills River. That was nothing. Other Sierra Nevada contractors Gary Fowler (PM) had twice that and Vaughn Zellick (Wood Artesian) has more than a year and is still there!

The best projects are the ones where you make lasting friendships. Despite the fact that some friends made a permanent trek east- Scott Jennings (Brew Master); Jim and Jessica Mellum (Quality Control); Stan Cooper (Logistics Directory); Brian Grossman (Owner) our friendships have grown. And we have made many more new friendships.
